California Dental Practice Act, Presented by Stewart R. Balikov, DDS (2 CEs)

Course Description:

This seminar meets the California Dental Board Requirement for mandatory continuing education on the Dental Practice Act with emphasis on recent changes in the law, including the scope of practice, utilization of auxiliaries and reporting duties regarding Child and Elder abuse. Acts in violation of the Dental Practice Act will also be considered, as well as the penalties that the Dental Board has the power to impose.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to...

  • Define the scope of practice,
  • Understand the requirement for renewal of a license,
  • Understand the appropriate duties of auxiliaries in a dental practice,
  • Understand both the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting and Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Acts.

Course Description:

This program is designed to help the dental professional become current in the areas of office safety and infection control, review the mandated minimum standards for infection control renewal in the dental setting from the Dental Board of California regulations. This course will satisfy the California Board of Dental Examiners’ requirements for Infection Control.
