This course is designed to introduce and explain the new classification system in periodontics, its clinical relevance, and how it should change the way you practice. Clinical protocols and case studies will be presented. A can't miss program for clinicians in every form of practice. This will include insight into how treatment of periodontal disease is more than mono-therapy or "just hygiene".
Learning Outcomes At the conclusion of this session attendees will be able to:
Dr. Jonathan Wong graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he was active in leadership at both the local and national levels. He received his Certificate in Periodontology from Oregon Health Sciences University, serving as both Chief Resident and Program Representative to the American Academy of Periodontology. He is a Past-President of the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society and held multiple positions at the component level, including Chair of Peer Review and Delegate. He is also active with ongoing volunteer leadership roles with the CDA, American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
He has served as adjunct faculty at the pre doctoral and post-doctoral levels in both clinical and didactic roles. He lectures regularly throughout the state and nationally about periodontics and implant dentistry. He maintains a full scope periodontal practice with offices in Santa Barbara and Ventura.

This session will overview the top five student posters in the Informational and Original Research categories and is designed to provide attendees with the latest in dental hygiene research. Past topics have included a range of subjects relating to the practice of dental hygiene. A brief question and answer session will be included at the end of each poster presented. The top five posters in each category will be determined via pre-session judging and those topics will be announced here after May 1st. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place posters in both categories will be announced at the conclusion of all poster presentations. This is MUST session for clinicians and future colleagues alike; join us for an engaging and fast past paced CE course that supports the future of our profession!
