Each year, the Fall Scientific Symposium brings dynamic speakers, industry professionals, innovators, and thought leaders together with dental professionals from all over California. The symposium affords participants an opportunity to learn from the industry’s most prominent leaders while earning continuing education.
This year's Symposium took place virtually on Zoom on Saturday, October 23.
This course was designed to provide dental professionals a clear understanding of how oral-related factors contribute to pediatric sleep-disordered breathing. The overarching goals were a focus on early intervention, the signs of dysfunction, and when to refer the patients out. Attendees gained knowledge in the area of orofacial myofunctional disorders and their effects on the soft tissue complex, airway, craniofacial, and dental development in children.
