Kathy Forbes is a seasoned dental hygienist, educator, speaker, author, and consultant with over 40 years of experience. She specializes in dental hygiene treatment planning, accurate CDT code selection, and clinical documentation. As a licensed user of the ADA’s Current Dental Terminology©, she provides up-to-date guidance on dental procedure codes.
Kathy serves as a Director of the DentalCodeology™ Consortium, contributing to the development and review of hygiene-relevant procedure codes presented annually to the ADA’s Code Maintenance Committee. Since 2016, she has regularly attended these meetings to provide testimony and gain insight into CDT code changes.
Her work has been published in RDH Magazine, Dentistry Today, and Dental IQ, and she has presented at major conferences including the ADA, ADHA Center for Lifelong Learning, RDH Under One Roof, and the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference.
With over 25 years in dental hygiene education, Kathy has taught at multiple colleges and through the University of Washington’s Continuing Dental Education program. She has trained hygienists in local anesthesia, restorative procedures, and teaching practicums for degree completion programs.
She is the recipient of the 2023 Sunstar RDH Award of Distinction for Entrepreneurship and was named a Fellow in the ADHA’s inaugural 2023 class. Through her company, Professional Dental Seminars, Inc., Kathy delivers customized, in-office workshops focused on treatment planning, coding accuracy, and periodontal care.
Jasmine Cload is a Registered Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who specializes in adult neurological movement disorders, including Parkinson disease (PD).
Jasmine played a pivotal role in establishing the first full-time public SLP program for neurological movement disorders in her province, located at a specialized neurology clinic in Victoria, Canada. Jasmine is also the founder of SpeakSTRONG, a private clinic designed specifically for people living with PD and related conditions.
Jasmine was the first Canadian and one of ten Pan-American clinicians selected by the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society (MDS) to become a trainer for other healthcare professionals. In this role, she has led numerous seminars and workshops for professionals and the public across North America. Most recently, Jasmine was a speaker with Parkinson Canada for the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s acclaimed “Parkinson’s IQ + You” event in Vancouver.
Jasmine has completed advanced training with The Parkinson’s Foundation, is a certified provider of Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD®) and SPEAK OUT!® treatment programs, and has been a recipient of the Parkinson Voice Project® grant for four consecutive years. She is a clinical educator for the University of British Columbia mentoring Master of Science students, she serves on the committee of her provincial SLP association, and she engages in research exploring applications of artificial intelligence to enhance quality of life in progressive diseases. Jasmine’s contributions to her field and community have been recognized with the prestigious Celebration of Excellence Award from her governing health authority.
Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys travelling and trying new things, including training for her first triathlon!
Kevin Lopez is a dynamic force in the dental hygiene community, dedicated to advancing the profession through innovation and advocacy.An award-winning and relatively new graduate, he has quickly made a mark by leveraging strong connections with industry leaders and championing diversity within the professional community.
As a proud Filipino/Japanese American, Kevin brings a unique perspective to his work, striving to create inclusive environments that celebrate cultural differences. Kevin uses his platform to educate and inspire both peers and aspiring dental hygienists.
As a speaker, writer, subject-matter expert, and educator, he shares insights on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and promotes best practices for patient care. Passionate, innovative, and driven, Kevin is committed to making a lasting impact in the healthcare industry.
