Disability Insurance Open Enrollment period CDHA members happens periodically throughtout the year. Keep an eye out for an email from CDHA for the next Open Enrollment period. Open Enrollment is the time of year when current members can adjust their disability and insurance benefits that are offered through CDHA. To get this valuable coverage, all you need to do is be a member of CDHA, a current licensed RDH, and have a W-2 income.

If you’re sick or injured, you can keep income coming with group short-term disability income insurance with CDHA. Short-term disability insurance replaces part of your paycheck for a limited period— usually nine weeks to a year—so you can focus on recovery with less concern for your finances.
Long-term disability income insurance protects your income if an on- or off-the job incident prevents you from working for an extended period. If you’re injured or become disabled—whether from a sudden accident or chronic condition—long-term disability income insurance with CDHA replaces part of your paycheck until you reach normal Social Security retirement age.

Yes! Long-term disability coverage for out-of-state hygienists is the same as California hygienists. The short-term coverage may vary depending on the amount of coverage you select. Call 916-993-9102 for more details.
New CDHA Members: CDHA has an open enrollment period once per month for new members to enroll in the group policies. If you join as a CDHA member before the 20th of the month, your open enrollment will begin on the 1st of the next month.
Current CDHA Members: If you are a current CDHA member that did not enroll during your open enrollment period, you can still sign up for group coverage! Email memberservices@cdha.org to request the disability enrollment information.
Example: Join as a member on January 18, and your open enrollment begins February 1.
